 Single Testes - Tests To Know Health of Child
1) Though very rare but children are born with one testes. Best is to get him checked thoroughly by a surgeon (physical examination) and ultrasound to rule out other testes at any place along line of natural descend of testes from inside abdomen to scrotumat times one testes stop earlier than its rite place or donot descend at all and must be searched and removed(if destroyed) or placed at its place if healthy (rare after 1yr of birth) Even if he has only 1 testes, this is enough for required testosterone production for sexual development and adequate sperm production for reproduction Erection of penis occur after puberty so if he is 9 may it be that he will get puberty in range 10yr - 15yrs and its very normal. He will have other features too like male type deep voice, muscles development ,hair at chest and pubic area . . No particular test are required now. |
