Food For Sex(PartII):Food For Male And Female Sexual Health.

Food For Male and Female  Sexual Health:

 

Whenever there is discussion on food requirement for sexual health it is associated with males for two reasons;

 

1)male is the active partner and is responsible for performance in most basic situations

2)male decreased libido and  Sexual dysfunction counts more  than female.

 

However nutrients particular for sexual health are beneficial for both genders.

 

 Basic Nutrients for sexual health required are :

 

1)      Zinc : It is associated with Testosterone production so increases male (also female libido) and sperm production and also increases seminal fluid volume. Highest amount of Zinc in body is in Prostate gland secretion.

 

Food with Higher Zinc Content: Cheese, green leafy vegetables(spinach),shellfish, brown rice,nuts and egg yolk.

 

2)      Manganese: It is not only important for sex hormone production but Also for chemicals (neurotransmitters) like nor epinephrine and dopamine that modulate sex drive

 

       Food With Higher Mangenese :Bean,peas,whole grain cereals,pineapple,tea and        spinach.

 

3)      Selenium: it is secreted highest in semen so taking it in food is essential for sex drive

 

 

    Food With Higher Selenium:  Meat,porridge and brown rice.

 

 

4)      Vitamin A and C : For producing sex hormones and fertility namely estrogen,progesterone and androgens.Vitamin C also prevent agglutination(sticking together) of sperms

 

         Food With HigherVitamin A and C   Strawberries,citrus fruits(orange,lemon etc) ,peach , carrot and plum.For vitamin A additionally butter and egg yolk.

 

 

5)      Vit B1(thiamine) required for energy for nerve transmission also to sex organs

 

 

              Food With Higher Thiamine :  Peas,liver , wholemeal cereal ,nuts,spaghetti and baked potatoes.

 

6)      Vitamin E is anti-oxidant that fight off the bad radicals and protects cells also produce hormone-like substances prostaglandins.

 

Food With Higher VitaminE    Margarine,sunflower and safflower oil , nuts and seeds.

 

7)VitaminB2 and Folic Acid: their deficiency is associated with infertility in females.

 

Food With Higher Folic Acid: cabbage,spinach,liver and beetroot. Vit B is more in meat,chicken,nuts,beans and peas.Banana have vitB6.

 

8)Omega 3 fatty acids: these form phytosterones and are in oily fish (nearly evry fish) and boost sex hormone production also Pumpkin Seeds have omega3fatty acids.

 

Aphrodiasic Foods And Natural Substances:

 

Aphrodisiacs are those food or substances that enhances and intensifies the sex drive.Aphrodiasic food include are mostly a combination of Sensual Appearnce for Human Eye and their major nutrients are sexually stimulationg substances.

 

Honey(sugar for energy) , chocolate(phenyethylamine as mood elevator) , banana (vitamin B, enzymens and potassium), Figs(combination of vitamin and minerals), Shellfish(zinc),Nuts(zinc and protein),strawberries(vitaminA)
