Incredible Hey Incredible,
It's just not food alone that will get you to six-pack abs. You will also need to have the right exercises to get there.
For food, while proteins are essential for muscles, you also will need carbs to be able to maintain the right energy levels - a good example of this is marathon runners who eat a big pasta dinner (pasta = carbs) the day before their marathon. What you will need to do is balance you diet with the right levels of fresh fruits, dairy (milk without sugar etc and/or yogurt), lots of protein sources (like chicken, fish, lentil/daal) - don't eat too much eggs because they are higher in cholesterol and you don't want to spike up your cholesterol. Stay away from red-meat because its hard to digest (it will stay in your guts and over the years cause colon cancer). Eat lots of green vegetables (like Spinach). AVOID - fried foods, sweets, ice-creams, juices
Your exercise will have to be min 60 mins a day - best case do 90 mins and do multiple exercises in sets of 25. Mix up your exercises like this (one step per day): - Chest+back and ab crunches+ab exercises - Plyometrics (jumping skipping cardio) - shoulders+arms and ab crunches+ab exercises - Yoga (helps build flexibility and provides stretch to your muscles and mind) - Legs+back and ab crunches+ab exercises - Kenpo (cardio+punching+kicking) - Stretching only (Holiday) - Mix-up exercises ...
You will also need to eat every 3/3.5 hours and your portion size should not be more than the size of your closed fist. DONT eat spicy food as its will get your system messed up.
Sleep minimum of 8.5 hours every night.
Remember to make note of weight, and stats on BM, BFI etc. before you start and also take a picture before your start. Give this routine should be followed for at least 4 months.
