Its up to woman's patience.
According to our religion Islam,it's strictly ordered to parents to mary their childeren who have reached the puberty age, to avoid the illegeal attempts to make sex.
Regarding to your question women can live without sex until she wants due to her patience and bear.Many women in our country who lost their husbands due to their sudden or accidental death just after the marriage and then spend their whole life without their husband.
Medically their is no limit to leave without sex. |

people can sex whole life Generally old men consult us for medicine of sex power (occaisionally old women too ask medicine for his husband). I remember a man age 74 asked me to prescribe medicine to improve his sex power for sex with his wife who is 4 years elder means 78 years.
In our culture people think that grand father and grand mother need no sex at all. It is absolutely wrong, if they will provide opportunity then they can sex whole life until death.

not right medically and religiously it is not right. aap majboor hai to yeh aik alag baat hai.
medical point of view:
agar kisi machine ko use na kare to kharab ho jata hai. sex ke sath bhi yahi masla hai. jab saal ke baad mia bivi milte hai to kai qisim ke jinsi mayel ka samna karna prta hai. aksar aisa hota hai keh ham unhai batate hai keh six (6) week ke ilaj se ye masla hal ho jaye ga. lekin wo kahte hai ke wapas jane mai sird 2-3 week hai. natija ye hota hai ke ilaj bhi nahi ho sakta.
Religious point of view:
Sex tension ko release karne ke liye log masturbation karte hai jis se guilt feeling hoti hai. kiyo keh logo ki nazar mai gunah hai. kuch log dosri women se taluqat paida kar lete hai. jo keh mazhab ijazat nahi deta. jo log na mushtzani karte hai aur na hi ghair women ke paas jate hai un ke zahni mareez hone ka chance bahut ziadah hai.
Bilkul yahi hal aurton ka hai. hamare paas kai khawateen depression ka ilaj karane aati hai. kuch musht-zani karti hai. kuch (sab nahi) doosre men se taaluqat paida kar leti hai.
Conclusion: 1-2 month se ziadah bivi se door nahi rahna chahye. agar majboori hai to aur baat hai.

NEAR TO NATURE. Dr. Rizwan's answer can be right because he has experience to deal many patients.But just after marriage people got sexual relationship at the age of 25 years ,( or after 25 years) but we we heard far and few problems between them . |

Re. not right Islamically, a decision taken by Hzrat Umar (Razi Allah tala anho) on this matter can be referred. I dont remember whole incident but one can search on that when one women's husband stayed away from her for about 4 months and she was wanted to seek sexual satisfaction. Then the caliph given the duration of at most 4 or 6 months ( please check in some religious books). |

4-6 month once or twice in whole life (war etc) 4-6 month once or twice in whole life (war etc) not always. medically and religiously it is not accepted that a man work at foriein countries like gulf or other cities (like Karachi and wife at other city) for a long time (without wife) and meet her wife after 1-4 years only for one to two months. |

reality bites this totally depends upon a woman's patience as well as her social and educational background.religious knowledge also counts.the more time the husband is away from her, she gets more and more frustrated. i have seen my women whose husbands are earning abroad and sending them handsome amounts, providing them every luxury of life but still they are so frustrated that they donot find any charm in life.
this is just because of the fact that every woman want to be with husband in good and bad times, and want to share every little worry, joy and happiness of life
its quite inhuman to marry a woman and then leave her alone for a long time.
wife should be called abroad if husband is earning there.
