COMMON POOR HEALTH HABITS IN OUR SOCIETY: EATING HABITS: Bed tea/early morning tea: Drinking tea as a first thing in morning is not a good idea at all….it just boost up the already increased acid production on empty stomach….even if you cant have a toast before tea its better to drink a plain water glass before tea…. High fat breakfast: Though its good to have a proper breakfast In the morning but it should not be rich in fats(paratha , French fries,French toast,oil rich egg)….….rather carbohydrates and proteins must form the bulk of breakfast….carbs are good source of glucose required by brain and proteins(boiled egg,or milk) help to increase your metabolic rate(energy production)in morning……fats only tend to produce heaviness and for their digestion more blood is shifted to stomach leading to lethargy…. Eating fruits after lunch or dinner: It is a common practice to eat seasonal fruits just after taking lunch/dinner…….however it is to be remembered fruits are quietly easily digestable and their essential vitamins and minerals absorption to the maximum demands that they be in contact with stomach and intestinal juices for a less time……when we eat them after lunch/dinner it just retard/slows their absortion as they are then absorbed after the meal…….fruits are to be taken between meals not with meals…. High carbohydrate intake between meals: Eating pastries,muffins,biscuits,cream rolls with tea or coffee between meals is a common bad health practice……high carbs diet is to be taken with meals and not between meals….sugary food between meals only tend to increase sugar craving and also helps in flourishing(increased activity)of dental flora(bacteria in mouth)….. Junk food/fast food and soft drinks: Burgers,pizzas,French fries and other fast e practically and soft drinks have practically speaking no nutritious value rather it adds to the bad fats in body……and help to accelerate the process of morbid obesity(harmful obesity) Not chewing properly/hurrying your meals Discussing politics , financial matters and family upsets over meal is a very bad idea…it just unconsciously makes you eat faster and not chewing properly just decreases the amount of digestion supposed to be done in mouth by salivary fluids(mouth secretions) SLEEPING HABITS: Sleeping less than 5hours: Researches prove that a good night sleep of a minimum 5hours continous decreases the number of off days taken due to health reasons… Rising up late in morning: Sleeping late at night rising up late in the morning during holidays/vacations is not according to your natural system….our hormones that mainly are to keep us active throughout the day have a cyclical pattern of release and are released at 6:00am in morning…. SELF MEDICATION: The two most common group of drugs that are self medicated are pain killers and antibiotics…. Excess pain killers intake just add to have ill effects on your digestive system… Self medication of antibiotic increases resistance of the bacteria to that medicine so the next time you fall ill you will require a stronger antibiotic with high potency… LACK OF ACTIVITY/EXCERCISE: Even to go to a market at a distance of 15min walk we prefer to use motor vehicles…..if not joining a gym atleast brisk walk of 30min daily is required to be healthy and active… SMOKING: With every puff of cigarette smoke you just make 1 your lung cells to get chocked/closed…apart from other detrimental effect on body…and creating air pollution for others…. DENTAL CARE/HYGINE: The most neglected aspect of health is dental hygiene…most of us brush teeth once a day and some of us twice a day but we hardly floss our teeth after lunch that is actually required….. STRESS/TENSION: Although not much of a modifiable health deteriorating factor…but there is a famous saying that almost 95percent of our worries are of the things that never happen and the rest 5percent are the things about which we cannot do anything…..
