Bushra Maz:

Generally speaking, aik normal menstrual cycle ke length 3-5 weeks tak ho sakti hai, or 21-35 days. Yaani, kuch women mein bleeding every 3 weks bhee ho sakti hai, aur kuch mein every 5 weeks bhee ho saktee hai. Most women mein bleeding every 28 days par hoti hai.

Teenage girls mein menstrual cycle ki length ziada ho saktee hai, magar agar aap ko consistently har marta itni delay ho rahee hai to behtar hai keh doctor ko dikha dain. Aisa generally hormonal imbalance ki wajah say hota hai, yaa polycystic ovaries ki wajah say. Aap apna thyroid function, prolactin level, FSH level, LH level, aur ultrasound karwa lain, takeh agar koi underlying hormonal problem hai to uska proper treatment kia jae.

Bushra Maz:

You are very welcome, and sorry for the late reply.

Aap ka second question ka answer yeh hai keh gee haan, irregular menses ki aksar underlying reasons aisee hoti hain jo agar properly treat nah ki jaaian to aagay chal kar pregnancy mein difficulty cause kartee hain. Issi lia  jaisa keh mein na aap ko bataya,  aap ko apna basic labwork aur ultrasound karwa laina chahye takeh aap ka irregular menses ki jo bhee reason hai woh patah chal jae, aur uska proper treatment kia jaa sakay.

All the best.

Tests:

Once again, you are most welcome.

These are the tests that you need:

TSH level ( to tests whether your thyroid gland is working ok), Prolactin level ( to tests for a hormone called prolactin, which can sometimes cause irregular menses if the levels are too high), Hemoglobin level ( also called Hb level), FSH and LH levels ( these are tests of female hormones, which often are abnormal in patients with irregular menses). Yes, all these are blood tests, and can be done anytime, except FSH and LH levels, which ideally should be done on Day 2 or Day 3 of your periods.

In addition, you should also have a pelvic ultrasound done, which would tell whether you have cysts in your ovaries, or any other abnormalities that could be causing the irregular periods.

Good luck!

Mid Cycle Bleeding:

As always, you are most welcome.

Aap jis bleeding ka zikar kar rahee hain, period ka middle mein, woh most likely ovulation spotting thee. Period ka middle mein jab egg release hota hai(ovulation), to uss waqt bohot light bleeding ho sakti hai. Yeh bleeding sirf approximately 1 din rehti hai, aur iska color generally pinkish hota hai, waisa red bhee ho sakta hai. Aur yeh bleeding bohot small quantity mein hoti hai. Its considered normal. Yeh most likely possibility hai aap ki bleeding ki, uska illawa bhee kae different reasons ho saktee hain.

menstrual abnormality.

This is not normal, it could be due to polycystic ovaries or hormonal imbalances, you should consult doctor, and in addition it also can affect pregnant if not treated in time. Hormonal imbalance or abnormal menstruation of your type may occur due to obesity, stress, poor diet or lack of exercise, if these factors are present in your case; you should loose weight, have balanced diet and light regular exercise and relieve stress if any.
