raja 43 hydrocele of testes is basically collection of fluid around testes or fluid in layers of tissue surrounding testes in children it has other causes but in adults like of your age mostly can be without any known reason , infection or trauma to area or associated with hernia of that side. mostly hydrocele is painless and only dragging sensation is felt in the area and may be left as such. however you have pain so it may be due to infection operation is necessary if its size increase too much or cause trouble like in your case (pain) may be due to underlying or superimposed infection also if recurrs again and again operation is simple and routinely done and patient is discharged within 24-48hours and operation rarely effects fertility. however if underlying testes is diseased it may be required to remove it which also is a rare possibility. if your hydrocele is symptomatic must get it operated. operation mostly do not effect fertility or sexuality although you will be discussed and explained before operation |
