 Hepatitis C, Anti HCV, Treatment And Causes
Hepatitis is the inflammation of Liver. There are several causes of liver inflammation. One of the most common cause is virus. The virus that cause hepatitis is called as Hepatitis Virus and there are many types of them like A, B, C, D, E. The hepatitis caused by Virus C is called as Hepatitis C. This is a lethal virus that demages the liver on large scale. At advanced cases, the liver got failed and hence a person would come in between life and death. In order to know about the presence of Hepatitis virus in the body, there are different tests and one of the most common test is Anti HCV. If this test turns out positive it means that the person has developed Hepatitis C.
Hepatitis is manageable and there is no curability. Interferone injection and Ribavarin capsules are given to the patients having Hepatitis C. The outcome of the disease is poor however;
In certain countries, the liver is transplanted. Unfortunately this procedure is not being performed in Pakistan. |
