 Sex Education In Pakistan
As'salam - O - Aluikum ,
Doctors and Members I am starting here new topic here and looking forward for your comments on it .
Sex-Education Pakistan ma aam nahi hai ... or buhat se waqiyaat aaye din hotey hi rehtey .... tou hamaiyn iss per kiya karna chahiyah or hum kis tarah in sab cheezon ko apne society se elimniate kar saktey hain .
Couple of days ago I was watching the program on DAWN News TV about the same thing but there is confllict b/w Educationist and Manager of the AAHUNG (Sex-Education Institue)
Sheila (Educationist) - Accoring to her , Sex-Education School ma nahi hona chahiyah kyun kah yah hamarey maashrey per negative impact daaltey hain or bachey khalat path per chaley jaatey hain ... because Hamarey bachoon ma learning process buhat quick .... So , they don't need such type of Education as she said "Time is the Best Teacher" so bachey time or Parents ki guidance k saath khudh hi sab kuch seeekh jaatey hain . In k mutabiq school ma yah sab nahi hona chahiyah or yah taleem ghar per parents ko deney chahiyah .
Sheena (Manager of AAHUNG) - According to her , Sex-Education shoudl be part and parcel of the student of secondary because girls have periods on reaching her puberty while boys have Ehtelaam problem so we should teach it at secondary level .... Because of the ignorance hamarey young generation ghalat track per jaa rahey hai . In k mutabiq yah sab ghar or school donon jagah hona chahiyah .
App sab members or doctors k kiya khayal hai kah ;
Sex-Education ghar per sirf deney chahiyah ???
Sex-Education School ghar k ilawah School ma bhi dena chahiya ???
So members what do you say .... Kiya PAKISTAN ma bhi Sex-Education hona chahiyah duniyah k aur country ki tarah ya phir yah sab kuch ghar tak hi mahdood rehna chahiyah ??? Please reply zara detail ma deejyah ga ok ? or suggestion bhi kah hamaiyn kiya role play karna chahiyah , Thanks

 hmmm
i think its very necessary to provide young people with sex education..there isnt anything wrong with it..however with the education they also shoulb be told the point of view of islam..as pk is a muslim country..
specially these things are highly increasing in the teenagers..young people,....and to be honest everywhere in the world..dont matter if its pak..as i belive that not even pakistani ppl r all pure..so before ppl do any wrong act they should be taught abt it..
also it is good to know abt it.as then less problems will occur after marriage..and couple will experience a healthy and good married as well as sexual life...
sex education does not have a bad impact on the society..because i think that it is good to have all sorts or knowledge and it is something which everyone will be doing at one point in their life after getting married.. |

also... also i dont think that all the parents can provide their children with this type of education..as in our society..there is a lot of shyness and some sort of barrier between parents and their children..
also what if the parents are not fully aware with the facts themselves than isnt it good to hve someone expert to teach people with basic fact... |

... There is hardly one or two Institution & Web-Site like
NoorClinic , so how can we give these types of education to our youth ,
as Government is not supporting , No Funds .......... What should we do
now ??? How can we spread it .... Should it be the part and parcel of
Co-Curricular activities or Extra-Curricular avtivities in Schools or
Colleges or Universities ???

suggestions and recommendations .... How can we implement these things

Q kai yai aisi batain hain jo kahi na kahi kisi na kisi moar pai insaan ko pata chalta hai.Haan aik cheez hai agar koyee problem hoo to DOCTORS sai rabta karna chahiyai.Aur agar is main koyee aur maqsad hoo to yai teeq nahin.
SEX EDUCATION ki zaroorat hi kya hai jab kai ham sab kuch khoob jantain hain.Is ki na to pehlai khabi zaroorat pari aur na abb parni chahiyai....

well here my suggestion first of all it we should make the government realise that how important this type of education is...this can be done by writing letters to school management authorities....to other member of the government who have to do something with it....
now once they agree with this suggestion..a further step can be taken...nurses or health inspector can be introduced...im sure people would nos hesistate to do this job..as more and more people are facing unemplyoment.....then specially with secondary high schools appointments should be made.....where the nurse or the health career can go and visit them..as well as explain things clearly and answer their questions in groups or individually...
also in the science lessons teachers can give a brief summary on these aspects of life!!
and im sure whn the parents will come to know about the importance of this education they would never object..
also some young people health centres should be introduced..where girls and boys can go seperately to male or female doctors..and get their doubts clear..and provided with the information they need |

 regarding suggestions
It would be better to engage male and female doctors to help youngers to help themselves to acquire first hand knowledge about sex.
But billi_miau don't you think that we would be over estimating our folks where a country with 70% (approximately) illetrate people and the rest, again 50% so called litrate people, sex education would not be a good idea to implement, further, our education system has not been successful enough to even make our people mentaly grown up. In our country where, be it our elite or lower level educational institutions, our students/teachers can be heard seduced or seducing the oposite sex. In such circumstances ( where still there is no sex education being taught) if sex education is introduced, it would be resulted in such as a child has been gifted a Klashankuf to play. Just destruction.
Again during the discussion if we forget the enviournment in our shools and colleges espacially at lower level it would not be in the interest of justice to implement sex education. It is said and it's true that you can find schools, colleges and academies in (every) street. You should not expect good enviournment and standards in such places. |

.........continuation ....To get results from such ideas we must consider our education system first. Where parents don't send their children to schools how would they swallow the sex education to be taught to their children. A good education system should ensure the mental growth and personal development in our students. It's a long term process, we should wait for the right time. Don't consider only big educational institutions which can be counted on finger tips but also those which are in thousands.
Billi_miau i read your profile, i think you never been to Pakistan but beautystart should consider all these lackings which we have in our system.

My opinion ....... It Should be the part and parcel of
Co-Curricular activities or Extra-Curricular avtivities in Schools ,
Colleges and Universities because they can provide these things only
..... As many educated people understand its importance so we have to
do take steps towards it ..... Because now and then the people come up
at NoorClinic's Forum with their Problems which is either realted to
Illegal-Sex , Small Penis , Wet-Dreams , Small Breast Size , Periods
and Drops ...... More than 75% thread relates to it some how or other
..... So I think its very important now-a-days ..... And People who are
willing to give it (Doctors) should be expert and competent person and
do that as Quasi-Service .
Other Institute for only Sex-Education is almost impossible and many of
us take it wrongly and Parents will not be willing to send their
daughters at these institutes however they may compromise at school
(Uni-Sex) or different classes for bosy and girls infact Male-Doctors
for Boys and Female-Doctors for girls ... so that there would be no
hesitation in parents' minds ..... !
I don't think that School Management will hire Doctors for
Sex-Education as it increases their Cost and decreases their Profits
..... and Here in Pakistan School is one of the Profit-Making Business
and People of it ... So School Management has two options in that case:
- Either Increase in fees of student propotinately or more than proportionately, or
- They will protest against it because if they hire doctors for it
... They have to incurred additinal cost and results in decrease in
profit.
Solution is Government or Business Man ....... They have to pay subsidy
to school for these things or Provide them doctor for these thinfs so
that School don't have to bear any additional cost .
