My Spouse Is Afraid Of Sex
Frightening from sex initially happens during the first few weeks of marriage or on wedding night. It vanishes with the passage of time. If this frightening persists then wife would need proper counseling. Usually women remain frightened due to pain they could get at intercourse. Since they are scared at sub-conscious level and don't know what would happen with them during intercourse, therefore; their fright sends positive feed back to the vagina from brain and hence their vaginal musculature become tight further and they would not allow penis to penetrate inside. This condition is known as Vaginismus which elicits pain while intercourse and hence the females becomes more scared. The other possibility of pain at intercourse could be due to un-ruptured hymen since at some occasions it doesn't get rupture due to thickened hymen. In these circumstances, it is required that the fright should be removed and in that case, husband would play better role. He should try to do the things gently and emphasize more over foreplay rather than intercourse. Internal examination by the lady doctor of her vagina would also be worthwhile in order to rule out the possibility of thickened and un-breakable Hymen.
