Urine Discharge: How Many Times In A Day?
There is no fixed frequency of urination. The normal urine out put depends upon weight. Normal value is 0.5 ml /kg/hr. It means for a 70 Kg old person, this is normal to produce 35 ml urine per hour. It depends now upon that particular person how frequently he or she would empty the bladder. Usually after every four hours, the bladder would be filled with 35X4 = 140 ml of urine in a person and that person would easily empty the bladder. Usually during summer season, the insensible loss of water in the form of sweats would certainly decrease the urine out put. There are however; some tests available to know about the functioning capability of kidneys. In case of doubts these tests could be performed. The above mentioned value of urine output is not fixed however; and depends upon the water intake as well. If a person would take more water, he would urinate more and hence the urine output would be greater then normal. This is a natural mechanism and doesn't show any illness. Again, this is not a problem to have urine in drops after steady state stream. As mentioned earlier the normal urine out put in volume does matter no matter if it comes in streams or in the forms of drops.
